Costa Rica Dental Team Attracts Patients With Exceptional Care And Value

Testimonial, Costa Rica Dental Team

Frustrated by the exorbitant costs of dental implants and other dental work, more patients are considering medical travel to explore treatment options beyond the borders of their home countries. One clinic that consistently rises to the top, as a leader in dental tourism is Costa Rica Dental Team.

Based in San Jose, Costa Rica, Costa Rica Dental Team is owned and operated by Mike Lomax, a U.S. Certified Dental Technician with over 34 years of experience. Lomax takes great pride in offering restorative and cosmetic dentistry that equals, and often exceeds, the quality of care offered by the best U.S. dental clinics—while costing significantly less. “We have highly experienced, English-speaking dentists and our office utilizes the most advanced dental technologies available, including an on-site, state-of-the-art laboratory that fabricates and exports restorative dental products worldwide”, said Lomax.

While the idea of traveling abroad for dental implants may strike many as inconvenient, Costa Rica Dental Team has won over many patients with the quality of their work and the incredible savings over having the work done in the United States. Additionally, the magnificent beauty and welcoming friendliness of Costa Rica is hard to resist.

As Lomax explains “People don’t usually think of ‘vacation’ and ‘dental work’ in the same sentence. But thanks to our highly skilled dentists, dental surgeons, dental implant specialists and dental technicians, people from all over the world are coming to Costa Rica Dental Team and becoming ‘medical tourists’ in Costa Rica.”

Typically, a dental implant procedure at Costa Rica Dental Team requires two visits. The process begins with the surgical placement of the dental implant(s) into the patients jawbone. This work is done using a local anesthetic to minimize any pain.  Afterward, there is a healing period of approximately four months— so, the patient returns to his home country. During this time, the implants fuse to the bone and become permanent. When the patient returns to the clinic, the dentist attaches tooth support posts to the implant, takes impressions of the patient’s mouth, then fabricates and fits a replacement tooth (or teeth) to attach to the posts. This second round of work usually requires two to three days and is all done under local anesthesia. Lomax and his staff are so confident in the quality of their work that the clinic offers an unprecedented 10 Year Replacement Guarantee on their work.

Because the cost of dental implants done by Costa Rica Dental Team averages 50% to 70% less than what it costs in the United States, most patients combine their appointments with sightseeing and relaxing in the lush beauty of Costa Rica, a country known for its stunning beaches, tropical rain forests and friendly people. Remarkably, they still come out significantly ahead when compared with what they would pay for dental work in the U.S.

For those leery of traveling abroad for dental care, Lomax is quick to point out that the clinic goes out of its way to ensure their patients’ stay is enjoyable and hassle-free. Upon arrival at the airport, they are met by the Costa Rica Dental Team’s customer service concierge. Guests are driven to their hotels and brought to the clinic as needed for their appointments.

Once there, patients enjoy a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere. As Lomax says, “Our goal is to give you a beautiful smile, and a lot to smile about!”
